Veracruz: a meeting with “The Bosses”

 Veracruz: un encuentro con “Las Patronas”

Last January, Demac offered a workshop Losing your fear of writing to a group of veracruzanas* women known as “Las Patronas”,The Bosses.

They live in the community of Guadalupe, which by the way, is the Patron Saint of the Municipality of Amatlán de los Reyes that belongs to Córdoba. And they are known for their altruistic work: since 1995, they prepare food and they give it away to Central American migrants.

This is our experience with them… they, who pen or pencil in hand, shared with us a little taste of their lives…
