From the review by M. Ana Diz about the work mentioned above, we found a compilation and reflection work meant to point out the existence of a female tradition in the 19th century Hispanic-American literature. The study contextualizes the collection of writings compiled in the first volume and it includes the biographies of the selected authors. It sorts out the analysis by literary genres among which the autobiography is placed. It is a reading that invites you to reflect on the widespread beliefs concerning women writers in our countries at that time, in terms of the quantity, the quality of their work, the communication among them and the awareness of “fighting against the isolation imposed by the silence of the records”
